Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of San Remo, this hotel strikes a fine balance between value and comfort. As a landscape photographer, I'm drawn to spaces with character, and this place certainly delivers. While the room I stayed in wasn't exactly a mountain lodge, its spacious layout and fresh decor were pleasant surprises. The soundproofed windows ensured a good night's sleep amidst the lively street scene outside. The location is a massive perk, just a stone's throw from the promenade and an easy stroll from the historical charm of la Pigna. The breakfast options leaned towards the sweet side, typical for Southern Europe, but it was enough to fuel my explorations. Housekeeping was efficient, and I appreciated having a mini-bar and electric kettle in the room. All in all, while it may not have the luxury flair of some high-end spots, it offers good amenities and an unbeatable location for those who want to experience the local vibe at a reasonable price.
